Ken Letcher is originally from Albany Georgia. He is a recently retired career Army officer who served multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ken is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and holds a PhD from the London School of Economics. He and his wife, Brigadier General Michelle Letcher, have three sons. He proudly leads the talented group of ATX Base Camp volunteers.
Director of Communications and Marketing
Jordan Cook is from Dallas, Texas. In her day job, Jordan supports the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Space Force with cultural transformations and organizational change as the U.S. modernizes to create a 21st century digitally-native military. She is also an active member in the Junior League of Austin. As ATX Base Camp’s Communications and Marketing Lead, Jordan created a communications strategy to publicize ATX Base Camp’s mission and presence in Austin, TX. Director of Fundraising
Dominic Lanzillotta is from Cincinnati, Ohio. Dominic is a former Infantry Officer, a combat veteran, and a proud graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Shirley Rinehart is originally from Maumee, Ohio, and has lived in Austin since 1996. She is a retired real estate professional and business owner, currently works as a design consultant, and leads a group of volunteers at a local hospital.
Kandi Van De Graaf
Director of Services
Kandi Van De Graaf joined ATX Base Camp in August of 2021 and is leading the effort to create a robust menu of services to help our homeless veterans. Kandi worked in the tech industry and recently retired from PayPal after holding Senior Management roles in Engineering and Program Management. She is originally from Michigan and has been a resident of Austin since 1984. She and her husband Dirk raised 2 boys in Austin and consider themselves native Austinites.
Austin Boone is from Northern Virginia and currently serves as an ATX Base Camp Data Services Technician and Sr. Program Manager for Army Futures Command’s Artificial Intelligence and Agile Software Development Workforce Initiative. Austin is a results-oriented IT professional and well-rounded Signal Warrant Officer with 20+ years of experience enabling Special Operations, Space Operations, Cyber Operations, Maneuver Forces and the Army Staff. Austin aggressively seeks opportunities to mentor, share knowledge, and enrich the lives of service members, veterans, civilians and their families.
Co-Founder and (former) Executive Director
Dave Schulz is originally from Los Angeles, California. He served as a career Army Infantry and Foreign Area Officer and led infantry units during multiple ground combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Dave is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and earned his MBA at the University of Texas, McCombs School of Business. He and his wife have two young daughters. Dave helped start the ATX Base Camp organization in 2019 while assigned to Army Futures Command.
